A big party with food,
music and soft toys was held in the SAC library in the last week
of term to say good-bye to a teacher who's volunteered to work overseas
for two terms.
Music
teacher Mr Craig Evans and his 11-year-old son Joshua are leaving
to spend six months in Argentina, where the Sisters of Mercy were
before they came to Adelaide many years ago.
While he's there, Mr
Evans will teach music to children at a school there and Joshua
will go to school there.
3KB held a party for
Mr Evans before he left and presented
him with a travel buddy called Rodney Roo. Rodney will travel with
him and write back stories for Writeonline.
For the party students
were asked to bring in a plate of healthy food and they also brought
in their favorite soft toy to keep Rodney Roo company.
Everyone wished Mr Evans
good luck and hopes he comes back with lots of interesting stories!
