Hola!!!! Hi
readers from South
America!!
As your traveling news
correspondent I`m here for the next 5 months and what a place!!
I met my traveling partners,
Craig and Joshua Evans, after the best going away party a Kangaroo
ever had, with the SAC year 3 class.
Can`t say I
think much of the hombre (man), but the Hijo (son) is cute. On our
first night together we all kind of bonded.
I packed light,
and
settled into the approximately 20 hours of traveling from Adelaide
to Sydney, Auckland (NZ), Buenos Aires(ARG), Lima (Peru) and finally
to Cusco(Peru) . Wow!!!!!!!!!! Exhausting!!!!!!! Because of the
altitude, @ 3,000 meters above sea level, I could hardly catch my
breath.
I tried to make the most
of the relaxing time on the plane. The food was well needed. I enjoyed
the refreshments but the movie was boring!!!!!!!.
After an epic
journey, this is what awaited us on our arrival. Machu
Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, built in about 1480 and
not discovered until 1911 by Hiram Bingham.
Most Inca ruins were
destroyed by the bullying Spaniards, numbering only 285 to some
400,000 Incas.
The Incas themselves
were well known bullies prior to the Spanish invasion, controlling
most of South America, but these few Spanish introduced disease
and trickery into the Incan vocabulary.
In the mood
for a party and a little bit of Samba, it was off to sunny Rio
De Janeiro. The famous Sugar Loaf Mountain was clouded over but.........our
prayers were answered when the clouds cleared and Copacobana Beach
revealed itself along with the beautiful harbour city of Rio de
Janeiro. Beautiful!!!
It`s
time in this report to humbly report just how popular The Big Rodney
has proven. I must say I´ve been quite the jumping Casanova.
I am very popular indeed, very popular.

But even a
roving reporter has to rest sometime.
And now my
beloved readers, I`m off to Buenos Aires, Argentina
with my traveling buddies, the Crumpy one and the Cute one.
So it´s, Chau!
Adios and te mando un beso!!!!!!
The big Roadster doing
it my way in South America!!!
