Location
St Aloysius College is situated in the heart of the city of Adelaide. The school is adjacent to Victoria Square, St Francis Xavier Cathedral and the Adelaide Central Market, within a short walk from the central business district. The campus is bordered by Wakefield Street, Chancery Lane and Angas Street. Public transport is on our doorstep, with easy access to bus, tram and train networks.
Entrance to the College is from the Wakefield Street frontage.
The Redden Centre building on the Angas Street frontage on the site of the former Tram Barn is an impressive piece of architecture. Completed in 2008, this state fo the art building is stunning both inside and from street view.
The new building houses a gymnasium, fitness centre, classrooms, Science Lab, computing facilities, self-service canteen, Uniform Shop and First Aid Centre.
Facilities
The school has modern facilities. Classrooms are equipped with Smartboard technology enabling teachers and students to have quick access to the internet via the school’s computer network.
The original convent of the Sisters of Mercy has become part of the school heritage and is used by students and staff.
