The Spirit of Mercy is reflected in every aspect of school life. Each student is invited to share the Christian story through classroom lessons, prayer, reflective experiences, celebrations of liturgy and participation in action for social justice.
Our students may choose to prepare for First Eucharist and Confirmation, which are the external signs of a commitment to a Christian life.
Throughout the school year our students participate in celebrations of the main events of the life of Christ –Lent, Easter and Christmas – through whole school Masses and classroom liturgies.
At St Aloysius College we maintain the commitment of the founding Sisters of Mercy to work for the most marginalised people in our community. We encourage students to participate in programs such as Caritas project Compassion and other social justice projects.
Students from Year 7 to 12 have opportunities to participate each year in a spiritual retreat enabling them to explore their own spiritual journeys and their relationships within the school community. |
