Years 10, 11 & 12
Senior Secondary Years
Year 10 students continue to be offered a curriculum based around the Australian Curriculum Standards. However, some choice is also available so that they can begin to explore their pathways to the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and beyond.
Students in Year 10 participate in a Work Experience program which assists them in identifying their aptitudes and gives them access to people and resources for possible career paths. The Personal Learning Plan is completed in Year 10 as their first South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) subject.
At Years 11 and 12, students undertake studies for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), choosing from a large number of subject areas. Some SACE units are also offered to students at Year 10.
The SACE provides pathways to the three South Australian universities and the TAFE institutes as well as interstate and overseas universities.
Our senior students are prepared for academic and vocational pathways. We challenge and support them in both their learning and their personal growth. We encourage them to be self-motivated, independent and resilient learners.
