Year 12 Taster Days at Flinders University

Taster Days are designed for Year 12 students, to get a taste of the study area you’re interested in at Flinders.

Leading academics have created hands-on experiences in areas such as:

Visual Effects and Entertainment Design, Film and Television, Performance, Media and Communication, Archaeology, Engineering, IT, Forensics, International Relations, Surveying, Law, Criminology, Interior Design, Business, Medicine.

You will have the opportunity to speak to teachers, learn from current students, enjoy a free lunch and work in and tour our state-of-the-art facilities.

SATAC key dates – A reminder for Year 12 students

Tuesday 30 September 2025SATAC applications should be submitted by this date to avoid a late fee
Tuesday 30 September 2025Final closing date for Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine (including Bonded Medical Program), Dental Surgery, Oral Health and Veterinary Bioscience at Adelaide University. Late applications not accepted.
Friday 10 October 2025Closing date for Bachelor of Clinical Science Medicine/Doctor of Medicine at Charles Darwin University (including required documentation)
Monday 1 December 2025Equal consideration deadline for Semester 1 courses. Applications must be submitted and paid for by this date to be guaranteed equal consideration for selection.
Monday 1 December 2025Closing date for Performance (Acting), and Performance (Directing) at Flinders University. Late applications may not be accepted.
Monday 1 December 2025Closing date for Clinical Sciences, Midwifery and Nursing at Charles Darwin University. Late applications may not be accepted.
Monday 5 January 2026Change of preference deadline for Semester 1.
Thursday 15 January 2026Mid January offer round. Offers will be emailed by 9am.

TAFE SA Information Sessions

To help you make the right study choices for the career you want, TAFE SA holds free course information sessions. Information sessions are generally held around the application period.

Attending an information session allows you to meet with the teaching staff, learn more about a course and where it can lead you, discuss study options, find out about the application process and ask course-related questions. Many information sessions are held on location, so it’s a great chance to check out TAFE SA’s outstanding training facilities. Online sessions are also available for your convenience.

VET courses for 2026

A reminder that any students interested in taking a VET course in 2026 should speak to Mrs Stephenson in the Careers Centre ASAP. Applications are now open with many courses filling quickly.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) refers to education and training programs that focus on providing people with the practical skills, knowledge, and qualifications they need to perform specific jobs or trades.
