Off to Parliament House!

During Week 3 of Term 2, our Year 6 cohort visited Parliament House, taking part in a rich, hands‑on learning experience. This excursion complemented our HASS unit on Federation in Australia, as well as our English focus on persuasive writing. Students were selected to roleplay the parliamentary process by debating and passing a bill to ban homework for students, a motion they argued persuasively and successfully won! The experience provided an engaging insight into Australia’s democratic system while strengthening students’ confidence, teamwork, and communication skills.
