Academic Success for Class of 2024!

MERCY LIGHT: LEARNING

“No work of charity can be more productive of good to society than the careful instruction of women.” – Catherine McAuley, Foundress of the Sisters of Mercy.

Tenacity is an attribute that St Aloysius College’s Class of 2024 has demonstrated time and time again. Our most recent graduates have immersed themselves in all facets of College life. They’ve made the most of the opportunities presented to them, but as individuals, each student in their own special way has contributed meaningfully to the community. They have been hospitable in their welcoming of newcomers, respectful in their encounters with others, doers of service, justice and compassion through their participation in a myriad of Mercy initiatives. And they’ve been courageous in their pursuit of knowledge, not just within their small corner of the world on Wakefield St, but about the world in which they live.

All things considered, this cohort’s extraordinary academic results are a well-earned reward for their magnificent efforts. Each student has successfully achieved their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), placing them in fine stead to pursue the many pathways now open to them to explore. We trust they’ll continue to walk courageously along these paths, guided by the values instilled in them during their schooling.

Congratulations must also be given to the educators who supported the Class of 2024 throughout their education, and to the families, caregivers and friends who have walked alongside these talented young people. To achieve a SACE certificate, some challenges must be overcome, and success often comes because someone flourishes, having been nurtured by others.  The success of this cohort belongs not just to the students, but to the community. As they say, “it takes a village.”

This infographic gives a clear indication of the Class of 2024’s academic achievements. We wish all our graduates the very best – enjoy a well-deserved time of rest, reflection and anticipation for a new year.
