Celebrating Faith, Service, and Community Together

On Tuesday 9 September, our school participated in the annual Catholic Charities Thanksgiving Mass & Charity Expo, a beautiful celebration of faith, service, and community. The Senior Choir led the congregation in song during the Mass at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, with the Year 8 cohort and Year 6 JAM (Justice and Mercy) Leaders attending the Mass as well.
Following the Mass, the JAM Leaders took part in a Catholic Charities Expo, joining students from other Catholic schools across the region. The expo showcased the many ways schools support Catholic Charities throughout the year. Students explored interactive stalls hosted by various Catholic agencies, learning about the incredible work being done to support those in need – locally and globally.
Our JAM Leaders returned with fresh ideas and renewed passion for justice and mercy, ready to bring new initiatives to our school community.
“It was a fun, educational experience learning about all the Catholic Charities schools like us help through all our fundraising” Isla
“I enjoyed hearing from other schools about all the initiatives they run to raise money for Catholic Charities” Grace
