TERM 2/3 SPORT

Team lists and training information has now been uploaded to Clipboard, with netball, badminton, soccer, fitness and dance starting up in Week 1 of Term 2.

Game information will be added to your Calendar as it becomes available. Please continue to check during the holidays. A reminder than badminton, netball and soccer games begin Saturday 3 May. Australian Rules Football will begin Wednesday 30 April.

If your training falls on a Monday, you will not train in the first week. Rather, you will meet your coach and team mates at the first game.

Clipboard & Sport Absences

It is imperative that all parents and players have access to clipboard. The SEQTA Portal will no longer be used as of Term 2. Please read over  A Guide on Clipboard for Parents & Students.pdf.

New process for entering training or game absence:

Rather than sending a text or email to the sport phone – moving forward, parents will be able to easily lodge absences via the Clipboard app.

  1. Access your child’s ‘calendar’ via Clipboard
  2. Click ‘log an absence’ SCREENSHOT ATTACHED TO THIS EMAIL FOR REFERENCE.
  3. Enter the date, time and reason for absence
  4. This data will filter through to the Secondary Sport Coordinator and Coach so that suitable replacements can be found. Note 24 hours or more notice is greatly appreciated where possible.

I appreciate your support in transitioning over to this new sport management system and look forward to winter sport!

Game information will be added to your Calendar as it becomes available. The association have notified us that draws may not be released until Week 1, Term 2 (the same week games start). A reminder than badminton, netball and soccer games begin Saturday 3 May. Australian Rules Football will begin Wednesday 30 April.

Catholic Girls Athletics

On Monday of Week 9, the SAC Athletics team competed at the SA Catholic Girls Secondary Schools Athletics Carnival. It was great to see a number of our students so keen to come out and represent the college across a variety of track and field events. A big thankyou to those students who picked up extra events on the day to help SAC gain some extra points!

Here were our divisional results for the day:

Not only did our girls perform well as a team, finishing 2nd in the B Grade overall, we had some stellar individual performances on the day.

Amelia on the Javelin, SAC Happy Officials & Lottie on the High Jump

Niamh impressed in the discus, Sienna powered through the shot put, and Nicole shone in the distance run!

Congratulations to our U14 & U15 relay winners!

Sophie, Sport Captain Sophia, and Stella all delivered strong performances on the day!

KNOCKOUT NETBALL

Trials wrapped up for secondary knockout netball this week.

We had an amazing group of talent come through from Years 7-12.

Team lists will be added to Clipboard in the coming days / into the holidays. An email will go out to notify students of this, and training information will be added to their calendar in clipboard. Trainings will start up in Week 1 of Term 2.

A reminder that trainings and game days should be prioritised over other commitments as the knockout season is so short and it is imperative that the team must train as a unit in lead up to their first round later in Term 2.

If you have any questions regarding your daughters commitment post team-announcement, please read the  Knockout Sport Policy or contact the Secondary Sport Coordinator [email protected]

Sporting Spotlight!

Congratulations to Year 7 students, Sophie and Kiara, on their selection to the U13 State Team for Little Athletics!

The national competition will be held here in Adelaide at the end of April, and we wish them all the very best as they represent the state!

Well done, girls — such a fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud of you both.
