Riding Waves and Making Memories at Year 6 Camp

Whether flying through the air, riding the waves, or coasting in first gear, Year 6 camp at Adare is all about adventure and fun. Over three days, the students challenged themselves with activities such as bike riding, body boarding, kayaking, and team games. Most importantly, they had opportunities to get to know each other better and to learn more about themselves.

Students reflected:

“I liked being able to make new friends and expand my friendship circle. I also tried activities I have never done before like Flying Kiwi and working together as a team to be able to fly and see the ocean.” Abbygail

“Body boarding was so much fun because the waves were so big that they took me all the way into the shore. Playing on the beach and competing in the beach games against the other team were challenging and exciting.” Ivy

“The camp spirit washed over me like the waves when I was boogie boarding.” Clarisse

“I enjoyed boogie boarding because it made me more confident in the sea and made me feel safe while in the ocean. It was my favourite activity!” Valentina

“I loved the sounds that were humming in my head while bike riding.” Mehven
