Year 7 Science Forces in Action!

This term, the Year 7 Science students have been exploring the topic of Forces through a range of engaging hands-on practical activities. Students investigated balanced and unbalanced forces by observing how different forces affect the movement of a ball. They also explored air pressure and motion by blowing through straws to move table tennis balls, and examined buoyancy and water resistance by pushing balloons underwater. In addition, students investigated magnetic forces and how magnets attract and repel different materials. Through these experiments, students developed their scientific inquiry skills, made observations, recorded results, and improved their understanding of how forces act in everyday situations.
