Youth Ambassadors Take on Teambuilding, Dancing, and Storytelling
Nine excellent students from SAC embarked on a life-changing adventure as Youth Ambassadors at a camp hosted by the Australian Refugee Association (ARA) which was held at Woodhouse from Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 May. The two-night, three-day experience was packed with excitement, learning and inspiration. Throughout the camp, the students took part in a variety of engaging workshops and activities including Challenge Hill, team-building games, drumming, dancing, singing, creative arts, storytelling, and public speaking. They explored refugee and migrant experiences, discovered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through stories and dance, and deepened their understanding of identity, resilience, personal growth, and wellbeing.
