Location
St Aloysius College is situated in the heart of the city of Adelaide. The school is adjacent to Victoria Square, St Francis Xavier Cathedral and the Adelaide Central Market, within a short walk from the central business district. The campus is bordered by Wakefield Street, Chancery Lane and Angas Street. Public transport is on our doorstep, with easy access to bus, tram and train networks.
Entrance to the College is via the Wakefield Street frontage.
Our breathtaking four storey Senior Secondary Centre, opened in 2014, has a commanding presence on Wakefield Street, with its picturesque views across the city skyline to the north and inspiring views to the foothills.
The Redden Centre building on the Angas Street frontage, on the site of the former Tram Barn, is an impressive piece of architecture. Completed in 2008, this state of the art building is stunning both inside and from street view.
Facilities
The school has modern facilities. Classrooms are equipped with LED touchscreens and Smart board technology, enabling teachers and students to have quick access to the internet via the school's computers and extensive wifi network.
The original convent of the Sisters of Mercy has become part of the school heritage and is used by students and staff.
