From the Music Department

Earlier this week, the Reception to Year 6 students were treated to a performance by the Band of the South Australian Police School Beat Band. The band filled the Undercroft with some fabulous music that had students singing and clapping along, and enjoying the sounds from some familiar and unfamiliar instruments.

The show also included some important learning opportunities. Students heard about the importance of staying safe online, how and when to call Triple Zero (000), about making safe choices in the community, and how to look after themselves when riding bikes, scooters, and skateboards.

The session also helped students understand the many roles police play in the community, and reminded students that police are here to keep us safe.

A big thank you to the School Beat Band for a memorable performance that combined fun with valuable safety education.
